Project

Team liquid entered Trackmania which meant we were going to be represented in large tournaments, the game allows for teams to upload their own liveries which meant we needed to represent our brand and sponsors in the game.

Project

Team liquid entered Trackmania in 2026 and this brought with it an opportunity to introduce the. brand to a new audience demographic. The arcade racing game has a community that has little crossover with other fandoms and a lot of trackmania viewers will see the brand for the first time.

With it being a new audience demographic we wanted to embrace the theme of impact of liquid on the car in a stylized fashion.

3 liveries

The alt skin was the first one developed and incredibly well received internally, however there was a concern that the connection with the brand was limited outside of the conceptual approach to the livery, We decided to mimic our general approach to uniforms, a home kit with out brand in it’s most identifiable way, the champions kit which is equal to our white jersey and intended for use at high stakes events and then the alt livery which somewhat featured pride colors. Pride is generally our tertiary uniform so we were happy to embrace that as our tertiary option for people to pick from.

initial exploration

this project went through a ton of iterations, very broarly at first exploring loads of thematics before landing on this stylized digitized spray effect with the horse motifs on the nose and in the iconography.
